President Mahama Is Too “Old School” & “Reasons Like A Stone Age Man” – Chairman Wontumi

Had it not been for Parliaments’ intervention, the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) would have continued with its decision to inject Ebola vaccines into volunteers from the Volta Region.

Ghana is yet to record a case of Ebola; but under the leadership of President Mahama, the drugs made by Johnson & Johnson and Bavarian Nordic were to be tested on volunteers in Hohoe.

Had the suspended act taken place, the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, believes foreign investors would have shun doing business in Ghana.

He wondered how investors could have been lured into the country knowing very well that Ebola has killed more than 11,000 people in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia since it surfaced more than a year ago.

In an interview with, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman ‘Wontumi’ disclosed that he would have commended President Mahama for considering that action if cases of Ebola had been recorded in Ghana.

But for the president to allow FDA to set the ball rolling before parliament intervened makes Chairman ‘Wontumi’ perceive him as an “old school” person who “reasons like a Stone Age man”.

Investments in Ghana would have soured drastically. Maybe President Mahama didn’t know what that action meant. It would have crippled this sick economy of ours.”

I am very sure he was informed before the action was set into motion. He has no love for Ghanaians,” he said.
